Cloudflight's story is one of strategic evolution, born from the ambition to lead digital transformation across Europe. The journey began in 2019 when Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) saw a unique opportunity, orchestrating the merger of two distinct yet complementary powerhouses: the custom software pioneer Catalysts GmbH and the insightful IT analyst firm Crisp Research AG. This union wasn't just a business transaction; it was the creation of a new entity, Cloudflight, designed to be a 'Digital Accelerator'. From its inception, the company, with an initial team of around 350 experts across 14 locations, was poised to offer a holistic suite of services, guiding businesses from strategic digital consulting and platform design to agile software development and 24/7 cloud operations. The vision was clear: to empower small and medium-sized enterprises, public-sector authorities, and large corporations to not just navigate but accelerate their digital journeys.

The initial momentum was just the beginning. Cloudflight embarked on a path of strategic acquisitions to deepen its expertise and broaden its service portfolio. This included integrating Cognostics to enhance its AI-driven software development capabilities, macio for embedded software engineering and human-machine interface design, and Divante to solidify its position in the e-commerce technology space. These calculated moves propelled the company's growth, expanding its team to over 1,000 qualified professionals specializing in software development, cloud architecture, data science, and strategic IT. This expansion culminated in a significant milestone in November 2022, when Partners Group, a leading global private markets firm, acquired Cloudflight, signaling a new phase of growth and international expansion. Under new leadership, with Dr. Martin Endress taking the helm as CEO in January 2024, Cloudflight continues its mission to deliver business-critical, scalable, and innovative digital solutions, solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner for enterprises aiming to thrive in the digital age.
