In 2019, passionate travellers and surfers Joel Tasche and Florin witnessed the heartbreaking reality of plastic pollution firsthand during their ocean adventures. Plastic was everywhere - on pristine beaches, in coastal communities, and floating in the waters they loved. Disheartened but motivated, they resolved to dedicate their lives to keeping plastic out of the sea, even when others doubted that meaningful change was possible.

Fast forward to today, CleanHub has evolved from that spark into a global movement. The company has collected nearly 30 million kilograms of plastic waste and partnered with more than 500 brands, helping them reduce plastic and collect more than they use. Operating in high-need coastal communities across Indonesia, India, Guatemala, and beyond, CleanHub brings waste management infrastructure where none exists - creating fair jobs while stopping ocean plastic at its source.
