Clay is a global design agency building world-class digital products and brands. Our clients include Slack, Google, Snapchat, Amazon, Coinbase, and many innovative startups. Our diverse team is located in different parts of the world, but the main locations are Europe and the USA.

We are looking for an Illustrator to join us remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute high-quality illustrations in various formats, from initial concepts to storyboards;
• Collaborate effectively with brand, UX/UI, 3D, and motion design teams, demonstrating a strong understanding of their respective workflows;
• Foster open communication, actively research assigned topics, and stay current with design trends;
• Contribute to the professional development of the illustration team by sharing knowledge and expertise.

Requirements

• Strong graphic design skills, including proficiency in anatomy, drawing, composition, color theory, and other relevant design principles;
• Clear understanding of the distinction between an Illustrator and an Artist;
• Professional proficiency in design software, including Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop;
• Ability to craft meaningful and impactful illustrations that effectively convey concepts and messages;
• Understanding of how to establish a comprehensive illustration system and document it in a detailed guideline;
• Additional skills in animation, 3D modeling, academic drawing, and painting are highly valued.
