We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Seattle-based Product Management Instructor to join our team and help shape the next generation of product leaders. Whether your background includes work at a globally recognized tech company like Amazon, or Microsoft, —or you've driven innovation at a startup or mission-driven organization—we value real-world experience and a passion for mentorship. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product management concepts, methodologies, and tools. The role involves teaching various aspects of product management, from strategic planning and market analysis to product lifecycle management and data-driven decision-making.
This is a remote teaching position, but candidates must be based in Seattle. While instruction is delivered online, we’re building a Seattle-based team. The next cohort runs from September 2025 to February 2026 with evening classes from 6:30-9:00pm PDT on Tuesdays and Thursdays plus monthly labs on Wednesdays.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions, workshops, and hands-on projects in product management, utilizing a learner-centered approach.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the product management curriculum, ensuring it remains current, relevant, and aligned with industry trends.
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they work on their product case studies, assignments and projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency in product management tools and methodologies, such as SQL, Jira, Figma, and Agile practices.
- Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights from the product management industry.
- Collaborate with other instructors and industry professionals to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Design, administer, and assess student performance and understanding in product management concepts.
- Utilize your past experience in Product Management to create real-world examples you can blend with class content to help drive exceptional learning outcomes.
Requirements
At least 3 years of hands-on product management experience, with a proven track record of launching and managing successful products—whether in a large tech company, fast-growing startup, or other industry setting.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
Expertise: Proficiency in product management methodologies, tools, and practices.
Instructional Abilities: Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
Creativity: Innate creative thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture creativity in students.
Mentorship: Experience in mentoring and guiding students or junior product managers.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Team Player: A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Continuous Learning: A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
