The Implementation Project Director leads implementation activity for large scale and/or complex deals. They are responsible for developing and managing project plans, tasks, timelines, milestones, and deadlines as well as coordinating work with functional area leaders and monitoring and reporting on project status and issues.
The Implementation Project Director manages senior stakeholder engagement both internally and externally and consistently demonstrates the ability to show leadership and strategic/commercial thinking. In addition to Implementation activity, they will also be expected to lead additional projects and initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and align with overall Cielo strategic business goals.
The Implementation Project Director will also drive sales and solution strategy as an Implementation SME, participating as applicable to support growth opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using the SOW, lead the evaluation, finalisation and sign-off of the scope during sales to implementation hand over.
- Create and manage the overall project plan including but not limited to:
- Project schedule (work breakdown structure, timelines, milestones, and deadlines)
- Risk management plan and register (track and monitor risks and issues and identify appropriate mitigation measures / response plans)
- Change control and log
- Stakeholder matrix
- Action and questions log / RAIL
- Coordinate work with functional area leaders & work stream owners as part of the project plan build out and monitor and control project work throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by building relationships and through follow-up, client responsiveness, and thorough communication.
- Manage client expectations and cultivate the client relationship through implementation and stabilization.
- Responsible for utilizing (and creating) documents/deliverables necessary for providing exceptional services and ensuring communication of the project plan to the client. Assist team in updating all implementation deliverables as required with new process rollouts.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, project health, key risks, adjustments, and progress.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and other strategic projects as required to contribute to business goals and strategy.
- Contribute and participate as a member of the Implementation global governance team helping to drive and embed best practice and continuous improvement within the team and broader business.
- Ability to manage and lead teams.
- Where required support with process and change management activities and additional projects as assigned.
- Participate as an Implementation SME during sales process where required.
Position Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience:
- 5 + years senior level client delivery experience, preferably in a related field (Required)
- Strong track record in managing large scale or complex projects
- (Required)
- People management experience (Preferred)
Exposure:
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast- paced environment (Required)
- Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy as well as a keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage
- Implementations (Required)
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other project management software e.g., Smartsheet (Required)
- Strong relationship and influencing skills – high emotional intelligence (Required)
- Articulate and ability to effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels (Required)
- Formal Project Management qualification (Preferred)
