CICONIX, a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) specializing in military and Veterans healthcare programs, is seeking compassionate New Parent Support Home Visitors to join our team supporting the US Navy’s Fleet & Family Support Program (NFFSP). This role provides vital education and support to expectant parents and young families, focusing on child abuse prevention, family development, and emergency preparedness.Locations:

Position Overview:
As a New Parent Support Home Visitor, you will provide home visitation services to military families, focusing on child abuse prevention, education, and access to resources. You will work closely with at-risk families to assess their needs and help them develop positive parenting skills. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and development of young children in military families, offering emotional support and linking families to community services.Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment & Screening: Assess expectant parents and parents of young children (under 3) for risk factors related to child abuse using Navy-specific screening tools.
- Home Visitation: Provide home visitation services to at-risk parents using the Nurturing Parenting Program to support healthy child development and prevent abuse.
- Information & Referral: Offer referrals to community resources for parents not identified as at-risk.
- Abuse Reporting: Report suspected child abuse or domestic violence to civilian authorities and the Family Advocacy Representative.
- Documentation & Data Entry: Ensure all home visitation services are documented in the Navy’s FFSMIS NPS Case Management System and maintain accurate data entry for tracking services.
- Family Support: Connect families to community and military resources for child development, health, and well-being.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Nursing.
- Licensure (for nurses):
- Active, unrestricted nursing license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in social work, maternal/child health, child development or public health.
- Other:
- U.S. Citizenship with successful background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of military family support systems and community resources.
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly families with young children.
- Familiarity with child abuse prevention programs and emergency preparedness.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of child development and maternal/child health.
- Ability to work independently in a home setting, manage time effectively, and handle sensitive family information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing empathetic, nonjudgmental support to diverse families.
