Licensed and/or Certified Pharmacy Technician Required

Work Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Position Purpose: Collaborate with the pharmacists to coordinate patient care for patients receiving infusion therapy

  • Coordinate the treatment process from initiation to the conclusion or discontinuation of therapy
  • Under direct supervision of a pharmacist performs prescription data entry functions
  • Coordinates home nursing services
  • Assists and maintains all related pharmacy records (prescription logs, care plans, medication profiles, and any other related files) as determined by the pharmacist
  • Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers
  • Track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required
  • Approve coverage determination requests based on defined criteria
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM on-line applications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of retail, hospital or mail order pharmacy experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and pharmacy systems. Familiarity with IVIG and/or Hemophilia preferred. Current state’s technician license or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.Pay Range: $19.04 - $32.35 per hour
