The Role:

We are looking for a proven marketer with a knack for managing both technology platforms (such as Hubspot, Asana, VWO, Google Analytics, etc) and people to be our Senior Manager of Marketing Operations for Coverfly. You will be responsible for managing marketing resources, technology, and employees split between Industry Arts (including Coverfly, Screencraft, WeScreenplay, The Script Lab, Launch Pad, and The Tracking Board) and Final Draft brands to ensure that all the included brands can achieve marketing and revenue goals.

You would manage the Content Manager, Email Marketing Manager, Senior Graphic Designer, and Marketing Coordinator and ensure that their efforts are appropriately split across the demands of multiple brands. This role helps build workflows and processes both across the department and connecting to other departments to ensure smoothly running operations and delivery of services.

You would take ownership of our suite of marketing automation software, setting up new integrations, keeping our many platforms talking to each other, and ensuring that we take full advantage of our martech stack. You would also be responsible for tracking expenses across all brands against the marketing budget to ensure the department stays within budget.

In addition, you will be responsible for managing paid advertising for both Final Draft and Industry Arts, leveraging the content and copy created by the Brand Managers of Final Draft and Industry Arts. You will manage a healthy paid media budget and an outside agency to help with execution. You will work with the Performance Marketing and Analytics Manager to monitor how these campaigns impact sales, as well as designing experiments to improve revenue.

The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations for Coverfly is a key role in a fast-growing, profitable software business helping writers achieve their dreams. You will report to our Senior Director of Marketing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage a team of four employees, balancing needs across multiple brands to ensure every brand meets its marketing goals
  • Track expenses across multiple brands against their respective budgets
  • Guide and support the management, implementation, and troubleshooting of tech stack integrations such as Hubspot, VWO, Google Analytics, Asana, etc.
  • Define, manage and build reports and dashboards that effectively measure marketing performance, partnering closely with business intelligence to provide key opportunity analysis
  • Direct the efforts of advertising agency to meet ambitious revenue targets
  • Allocate spend across the existing and new advertising channels to increase conversions while maximizing efficiency

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or 5+ years in marketing operations or equivalent experience required
  • Experience managing small marketing teams and helping manage budgets
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working with content marketing and social media teams
  • Experience managing a full suite of marketing automation software. Our stack includes: HubSpot, VWO, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Amplitude, Looker, Wordpress, Gravity forms, Magento, ZenDesk, ShareaSale, Sprout, Asana, and legacy accounts with Salesforce and Mailchimp
  • Comfort using data to drive key performance indicators and make key content and channel marketing decisions
  • Experience managing six-figure budgets for paid marketing channels including paid social, paid search, display
  • Excel and Google Sheets expert, non-trivial analytics experience in a data environment with many unlinked pieces
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing processes, procedures and tools
  • Fluent in direct response marketing concepts and best practices
  • Good communicator, great collaborator, and team member
  • Passionate about testing and pushing the boundaries of growth opportunities
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot needed
  • Knowledge of the screenwriting industry or related industries not required, but a plus
Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.The compensation range for this position is:$130,000—$145,000 USD
