Our groundbreaking tools enable organizations to identify hotspots, improve sustainability performance, save time and money, and engage with value chain partners to scale systemic change across the industry.

The Opportunity

Cascale seeks a candidate who is motivated to support the Decarbonisation Program - Manufacturer Climate Action Program (MCAP) team. It is a truly exciting opportunity to support the team in driving progress in decarbonising the apparel and footwear industry. Through supporting the MCAP team, you will be assist the team in rolling out the program right through to program completion and evaluation:

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Manufacturer Climate Action Programme (90%)

Work closely with the Manager of Manufacturer Climate Action Programme (MCAP) and Senior Director of Decarbonisation Team to support the planning, execution and monitoring of programme performance

Provide recruitment support, onboarding administration and follow up with brands, retailers and manufacturers in MCAP

Support creation of surveys, presentation decks, training materials development & delivery, science-aligned target validation process, communication, website update and other collateral materials as needed

Monitor and provide help desk support to MCAP manufacturers

Provide administrative and logistics support in all MCAP related activities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on MCAP program development and or other decarbonisation projects.

Event support and management: involve in planning and organizing regional and global member events, MCAP events, Manufacturer Forum

Decarbonisation Program & Other Cross-Functional Projects (10%)

Work closely with the Decarbonization Program Team and other internal functions to support the planning and execution of other cross functional projects

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor in environmental science/ environmental & chemical engineering/ environmental technology/environmental management/sustainability related degrees required, Masters Preferred
  • Good working knowledge of climate science, science based targets initiatives and decarbonization
  • Strong communication and language skills in English and Chinese, ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Significant experience in Microsoft Office Excel/Google Sheets, plus experience in other Microsoft and Google tools (Word, PowerPoint), GoogleSuite (Docs, Slides), Miro, and Asana experience or possesses the ability to quickly master
  • Good communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with a positive and supportive attitude
  • Ability to work with colleagues in a multicultural, multinational context to collaboratively achieve organizational goals
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong process driven approach
  • Experience in managing complex projects would be highly valued
  • Prior relevant work experience in a multinational organization is a plus
  • Good computing, data analysis and presentation skills
  • Organized, attention to detail, and ability to execute deliverables in a timely manner
  • High standard of written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Can-do attitude and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt quickly to challenging situations and find innovative solutions
  • Well versed in emissions reduction target setting in line with SBTi’s criteria
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and climate action across the industry and has the ability to inspire others;
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in the apparel, footwear and textile industry

Reporting Structure, Timeline

This is a full-time remote role, directly reporting to the Manager - MCAP with a desired start date of 1 August, 2024.

Compensation, and Location

The Cascale offers a compensation package and salary bands are based on country location and aims to be competitive in each market. Actual compensation will also vary depending on factors including (but not limited to) relevant experience and performance. Salary is just one component of Cascale’s Total Rewards package for employees.

Cascale’s members and partners are global organizations, and as such, our staff sometimes work early or late hours. This position is preferably based in Hong Kong. Please note that you will have to be eligible to live and work in the region specified.
