The Opportunity:
CACI is hiring an Accounting Operations Lead to support our government agency's IT operations. We are looking for a candidate with 10+ years of experience in federal financial accounting and reporting experience. We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills and a desire to enhance those skills in a challenging, high visibility environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate across multiple development efforts to ensure the financial system and associated data are consistent with configuration requirements, contract expectations and government regulations.
Collaborate with the entire operations and maintenance team to include: developers, database administrators, functional analysts, and other technical specialists.
Create synergies by leveraging the expertise of other workstreams to better understand the organization’s business processes.
Monitor, track, and troubleshoot application operations and data, analyzing incidents and working with the technical team to resolve issues quickly.
Ensure quality assurance standards and processes for validation and verification efforts are met.
Ensure Software development best practices are followed. Seek out and implement process improvement initiatives with a focus on automation and leveraging AI tools.
Provide functional support, document requirements, create detailed design specifications, and document business processes as needed.
As a lead of a highly skilled accounting operations team, provide guidance, direction, and implement processes/procedures in support of all functional, technical, and operations workstreams in support of the program as a whole.
Qualifications:
Required:
US citizen with ability to pass a Tier 2 MBI background investigation upon hire
10 years’ experience working with Federal Financial/Accounting practices or Momentum Financials front-end and preferably database.
Knowledge of federal financials processes such as General Ledger, Budgeting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial reporting.
Must be able to lead a team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
Flexibility to put in hours needed to meet tight deadlines.
Must have thorough knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
Desired:
Experience working in a government environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
