VP, Sales (Upsell)

We are currently seeking a Vice President of Sales specializing in upselling to lead and expand our upsell team. Reporting directly to the CSO, the VP of Sales (Upsell) will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to drive upsell revenue and exceed targets. This is a high-impact role that requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving results.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement upsell strategies and initiatives to maximize revenue from existing customers
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team focused on upselling, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team targets
• Establish and foster strong relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders
• Continuously analyze customer needs, usage data, and market trends to identify upsell opportunities and make data-driven decisions
• Collaborate closely with customer success and product teams to align goals and drive integrated upsell initiatives
• Oversee the development and execution of upsell plans, including territory management, forecasting, and pipeline management
• Monitor upsell performance and provide regular reports to the executive team, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and drive continuous improvement of upsell processes and methodologies
• Represent ButterflyMX at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving upsell revenue growth and exceeding targets
• Prior experience in the proptech, real estate, or technology industry is highly desirable
• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams focused on upselling, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Strategic mindset with a strong ability to develop and execute upsell strategies
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze customer data and market trends
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
