A mission-driven organization providing music, education, and wellness programs to communities across the U.S. is seeking a skilled Remote IT Specialist to assist with various tech-related initiatives. This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for a proactive IT expert who thrives in a project-driven environment and is passionate about streamlining systems and solving real-world tech issues.
Role Overview:
As a Remote IT Specialist, you’ll work closely with the operations team to improve technical systems, troubleshoot integration issues, and build small tools or automations to improve efficiency. You’ll be responsible for assessing existing systems, recommending improvements, and executing hands-on tasks across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve syncing issues between HubSpot and Gmail (particularly with the deals pipeline)
Automate data syncing between HubSpot and Google My Maps
Develop a script or tool to calculate distances between client and service provider locations
Enhance both front-end and back-end functionality of the company’s WordPress/WooCommerce website
Maintain and update internal rosters and data — with an eye toward automation
Optimize website performance and resolve any WooCommerce-related issues
Set up web chat plugins to capture lead/contact information
Install and configure tools to monitor site traffic and usage
Assist in managing YouTube content (e.g., uploading, embedding in presentations, downloading for internal use)
Qualifications:
Proven experience with CRM platforms (especially HubSpot)
Strong technical background in WordPress and WooCommerce
Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Google My Maps, and the YouTube ecosystem
Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Zapier) and custom scripts (e.g., Python or JavaScript)
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Great communication and documentation practices
