This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- 37.5 hours per week, 8 am - 4 pm AEST, 30min unpaid break
Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming calls, scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Monitor and respond to emails promptly
- Maintain patient records
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing patient records and saving documents from emails
- Assist with the preparation of medico-legal appointments and reports
- Debtor Management - follow up on outstanding appointment fees
- Provide general administrative support during downtime
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols
- Handle approximately 130 calls per month, with varying daily volumes
- Manage both general practice and medical legal administrative tasks
- Collaborate directly with clinic owners and part-time nurse
Requirements
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist, minimum of two years
- Familiarity with medical practice management software, preferably Best Practice
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and data security practices
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software systems
