Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to become the first data entry specialist for a rapidly expanding accounting practice that’s pioneering digital operations in their market. You’ll receive comprehensive, personalized training directly from the business owner and learn specialized systems and procedures that will make you an invaluable part of the team. This permanent position offers excellent growth potential as the firm continues to scale, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and hours based on your performance and interest. No prior accounting experience is required - just bring your attention to detail and willingness to learn, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry for diverse small business clients across various industries
  • Navigate and input information into QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online systems
  • Work efficiently with completely digital client files and electronic document management systems
  • Learn and master the firm’s proprietary coding methods and data entry procedures for each client
  • Collaborate closely with the business owner during comprehensive training and ongoing support
  • Contribute to streamlined operations that support the firm’s continued rapid expansion
  • Ask thoughtful questions and communicate effectively throughout the learning process
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency with PC computers and Windows operating systems (Mac experience not applicable)
  • Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to quickly learn new software systems and adapt to specialized procedures
  • No prior bookkeeping, accounting, or QuickBooks experience required - comprehensive training provided
  • Genuine interest in learning the firm’s specific methods and commitment to following established procedures
  • Dedication to a permanent, long-term position with growth mindset
  • Availability to work Tuesday through Friday during business hours
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently once trained
