Sr. Manager, Patient Advocacy – Cell Therapy I Hematology
The Sr. Manager, Patient Advocacy is responsible for supporting the Cell Therapy I Hematology Patient Advocacy team and our patient-focused mission. This role requires managing a broad set of stakeholders, both internally and externally, in the planning and execution of various programs. The incumbent, reporting to the Senior Director, Global Patient Advocacy, Cell Therapy I Hematology, must possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and show great attention to detail, ensuring that business objectives are met with the right sense of urgency.
This role will support many aspects of Patient Advocacy and provide project coordination to drive key initiatives forward in alignment with project sponsors and key stakeholders across BMS, and to lead processes related to various events and initiatives across the team. The individual will also have limited relationship management responsibilities for designated emerging disease area(s) with the expectation to grow these capabilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Execute on assigned projects supporting the patient advocacy team
Patient and medical congress logistics management
Support planning and execution of BMS-led advocacy events (summits, advisory boards, etc)
Coordinate local/regional patient advocacy events to engage field teams as appropriate
Proactively remove obstacles to drive assigned project’s momentum and progress
Plan and engage necessary resources across the enterprise to ensure successful completion of assigned projects
Manage relationships for select external stakeholders and co-develop plans and tactics with TA leads
Represent BMS at various external conferences and events and share key learnings internally
Collaborate with US and Global commercial, medical, clinical development, communications, policy & government affairs, and other cross-functional teams on advocacy-focused initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry and/or patient advocacy
Ability to take direction and work independently
Demonstrated responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through coupled with ability to prioritize/multi-task effectively
Working knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and related regulatory, commercialization and compliance requirements
Leads by example, displaying integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making
Solutions-oriented mindset with a lens for finding innovative approaches and efficiencies
Outstanding organizational skills and time management skills; ability to manage concurrent projects within tight deadlines while maintaining excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
Skilled in stakeholder management and collaborative decision-making and ability to bring a variety of clear ideas and perspectives to achieve objectives
Performs other duties as required
Prefer 6+ years of project management &/or industry experience
Travel is required (25-30%) depending on time of the year
This position is remote and requires travel to Lawrence Township, New Jersey offices 1-2x/month or as needed
