We are seeking a Professional Services Engineer to join our Professional Services team. This role goes beyond onboarding — it focuses on delivering custom, project-based solutions that drive long-term value for customers. You will serve as a technical consultant, working alongside project managers and customer stakeholders to implement advanced configurations, integrations, and extensions of the Brinqa platform.

This role requires a blend of technical depth, project discipline, and problem-solving expertise. You’ll bring hands-on implementation skills, the ability to script and troubleshoot complex workflows, and the consultative presence to guide customers through engagements that vary in scope, complexity, and duration.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Custom Project Delivery: Lead the hands-on implementation of Brinqa solutions for customer projects, including tailored solutions that extend beyond standardized onboarding, ensuring customer success in complex environments.
  • Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting: Write and maintain scripts, leverage Brinqa-provided libraries, and debug technical challenges with precision.
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, diagnosing and resolving challenges that require advanced problem-solving.
  • Project Collaboration & Accountability: Partner closely with Project Managers to align on scope, timelines, and deliverables; maintain diligent time tracking to ensure projects stay within budget and hours-based constraints. Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and progress clearly to both customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Best Practices & Advisory: Provide consultative guidance on platform architecture and integrations, balancing Brinqa best practices with customer-specific needs and document implementations thoroughly, ensuring repeatability and scalability for future phases.
  • Customer Engagement & Success: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer stakeholders, bridging technical details with business objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience: 3-5 years in technical consulting, professional services, or implementation engineering roles, ideally in cybersecurity or SaaS enterprise software.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with scripting and development languages (e.g., Python, Groovy, Java) and comfort with APIs, data integrations, and Linux environments. Ability to read, adapt, and extend existing code libraries.
  • Project Delivery: Proven success working on structured, hours-based projects with project managers. Experience with time tracking, resource allocation, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving abilities across integrations, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Customer-Facing Skills: Confident engaging with technical and business stakeholders, presenting solutions clearly, and managing expectations effectively.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams, contributing to process improvements, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS, Kubernetes, or scripting-related credentials) are a strong plus.

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in Canada. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa or Work Permit at this time.

HERE’S A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US

Brinqa was founded in 2008 by cybersecurity and technology veterans that witnessed first-hand the significant amount of time and people it took a company to manage the various tools and resources to protect the business from the ever evolving and changing world of cybersecurity.

Building a cybersecurity platform that connects all of the relevant IT, security, and business data resources to create a common data view with actionable insights would give companies a resource that would allow them to respond faster, smarter and more efficiently.

In June 2021, with a solid and effective product benefiting and significantly impacting Fortune 50 companies, Brinqa received its first and only institutionalized funding with Insight Partners. Investing $110M and a minority position in the business, Insight Partners provided Brinqa a way to provide their cybersecurity platform product to more enterprise companies by building their employee base with expertise in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services and People.

It is an exciting time of growth and for individuals to make an immediate and lasting impact on the company and its market

We’re committed to promoting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) at Brinqa - through all equal employment opportunity laws and regulations at the international, federal, state and local levels.

At Brinqa, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing how enterprises manage and mitigate cyber risk. Through our groundbreaking Unified Exposure Management platform, we are fundamentally transforming the landscape of cybersecurity. Our innovative approach empowers security teams to gain unprecedented clarity and control over their complex attack surfaces by correlating technology and business data. This allows for a holistic understanding of vulnerabilities, moving beyond simple detection to a sophisticated, risk-based strategy. We started with a singular mission: to redefine vulnerability management for modern enterprises, especially as they navigate the complexities of cloud, containers, IoT, and DevOps. Our platform brings order to the chaos of expanding attack surfaces across infrastructure, cloud, and applications, enabling security leaders to unify their efforts and achieve measurable risk reduction.

Our technological innovation is centered around the Cyber Risk Graph, a powerful knowledge-driven engine that unifies disparate security findings with critical business and threat intelligence. This proprietary technology allows organizations to consistently prioritize, remediate, and report on risk from a single, cohesive platform. By leveraging a graph database, specifically Neo4j, we re-architected our platform to handle the dynamic and interconnected nature of modern enterprise ecosystems. This enables lightning-fast correlations across vast and complex datasets, a feat unattainable with traditional relational databases. The Brinqa platform is designed for enterprise scale, processing millions of security datasets in real-time to support advanced risk analytics and pave the way for AI-driven applications. We empower the world's largest enterprises to move from a reactive to a proactive cybersecurity posture, turning vulnerability overload into actionable, business-aligned risk clarity and ensuring they can protect what matters most.
