Job Location:
This is a hybrid position, with the ability to work in Arlington, VA 2 days a week.
Clearance:
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Job Description:
In this part-time position as a Human Resources Intern, you will support the HR department 20 hours a week by performing a variety of administrative and operational tasks under the guidance of the Operations Managing Director. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in Human Resources to gain hands-on experience in core HR functions and systems. In this position, you will also:
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing and managing necessary documentation & presentations.
- Assist in developing and distributing internal communications, including newsletters, HR announcements, and company-wide updates.
- Assist with drafting HR communications and coordinating logistics for all-hands meetings, onboarding sessions, milestone celebrations, and corporate event planning.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and responding to HR-related inquiries.
- Contribute to HR projects, including performance management initiatives, compliance tracking, and employee engagement activities.
- Help ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently followed by all staff.
- Gain hands-on exposure to benefits administration by supporting enrollment communications, wellness initiatives, and responding to general employee benefits inquiries.
Required Skills:
- GED or equivalent.
- Strong interest in developing a career in Human Resources.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with a proactive mindset.

- Experience with or exposure to ADP Workforce Now.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

- Previous internship or office experience.
