The RCC Operating Technologist is responsible for remotely operating Building Automation Systems (BAS) in BGIS-managed client facilities, implementing day-to-day operator level control changes, reviewing trend data to support trouble shooting efforts, implementing changes for energy and operational optimization initiatives, and coordinating corrective actions for complex issues.
Requirements
- College Diploma in a related discipline
- BAS or Building Operations courses (Asset)
- 3 years of experience in remote BAS operation for multiple facilities
- 3 years of demonstrated proficiency with BAS navigation, data-trend setting and extractions, trouble shooting
- 5 years of medium to advance skills in word processing and spreadsheet data manipulation and analysis tools
- 1 year of familiarity with integration concepts and platforms such as BACnet systems
- Operational experience in fault detection platform (Asset)
- Good knowledge of optimization and energy management strategy for BAS (3 years)
- Strong ability to adhere and to properly execute processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance (3 years)
- Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency (3 years)
- Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification (3 years)
- Mentoring skills required to support Junior BAS Operator development (Asset)
- On-call/standby and emergency call-outs as they arise (Must be available)
- Occasional extended hours (Must be available)
- Programming, coding, on-site installation and/or maintenance of BAS (Asset)
- Bilingualism (Asset)
- Valid drivers' license (Asset)
