The Role

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Accountants and the Accounting Manager by performing various accounting tasks, including analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control procedures. The Staff Accountant will ensure an accurate reflection of T&E spend in the general ledger, assist with daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, and support month-end close processes. Additionally, the role involves performing variance analysis, assisting with audits, and completing ad hoc data and reporting projects. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering a first-class internal customer service experience.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Senior Accountants with analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Follow proper accounting procedures and build journal entries so that T&E spend is accurately reflected in the Company’s general ledger.
• Liaise with the Accounting Manager, and Senior Accountant to regularly monitor adherence and controls around the Company’s T&E and Purchasing policies.
• Assist the Accounts Payable team with daily operations, including vendor maintenance and purchase requisition workflow.
• Perform general ledger tasks as needed to support month-end close processes.
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Complete ad hoc data and reporting projects as directed by the Accounting Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field of study
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control procedures
