Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our technology team under the Americas Acceleration Program, contributing to two high-impact AI initiatives.
These initiatives leverage AI to analyze, classify, and prioritize insurance submissions and renewals, ensuring that underwriters can make timely, accurate, and informed decisions. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in integrating advanced AI models into scalable backend systems that support end-to-end digital workflows.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Oversee the integration of AI models developed by data scientists with various internal and external components, including front-end
interfaces, databases, and third-party APIs.
Responsible for ensuring seamless data flow, system stability, and performance.
- Continuously optimize application performance, accessibility, and scalability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have extensive experience with Python, backend frameworks such as FastAPI, relational and NoSQL databases, asynchronous programming, message queues, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise is vital in building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems that support AI-driven solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in code reviews.
- Mandarin speaking a plus.

- A competitive pay range of $120K-150K (depending on experience).
