We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA MDG Consultant to design, implement, and support master data governance solutions. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant master data across the enterprise, supporting business processes and analytics.

Specific responsibilities include:  

  • Design and implement SAP MDG solutions for domains such as:

    • Business Partner (Customer/Vendor)

    • Material Master

    • Finance (Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers)

  • Configure data models, UI, workflows, and business rules in MDG.

  • Define and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define master data processes and approval workflows.

  • Implement data validation, derivation rules, and duplicate checks.

  • Integrate MDG with SAP S/4HANA and other systems.

  • Support data replication using DRF (Data Replication Framework).

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across systems.

  • Perform data migration and data cleansing activities.

  • Support testing (SIT, UAT) and resolve defects.

  • Provide end-user training and documentation.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data governance processes and workflows.

  • 5+ years of SAP experience with hands-on MDG implementation.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • SAP MDG architecture and frameworks

    • Master data domains (BP, Material, Finance)

  • Experience with:

    • Data modeling in MDG

    • BRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus)

    • DRF (Data Replication Framework)

    • Workflow configuration

  • Understanding of S/4HANA data models and business processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP MDG or S/4HANA certification.

  • Experience with Central Finance or multi-system landscapes.

  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

  • Experience with data migration tools and ETL processes.

  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.

The Penguin Random House national headquarters is located in New York City. The position is open to remote candidates based in the United State who can work on Eastern Time.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
