BC SPCA

The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) is a non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Founded in 1895, the organization has been serving communities across the province for more than 125 years, advocating for animal well-being and mobilizing communities so animals and people thrive together.

The BC SPCA operates more than 30 locations throughout British Columbia, providing a wide range of services including animal adoption, cruelty investigations, emergency response, wildlife rehabilitation, farm animal welfare programs, and community outreach. With a team of 600+ employees and thousands of volunteers, the organization helps over 134,000 animals per year. Their comprehensive approach includes animal rescue, medical care, behavioral rehabilitation, spay and neuter programs, pet identification services, and educational initiatives. The organization also manages the BC Pet Registry and operates animal hospitals providing subsidized veterinary services to ensure animals in need receive proper care.
