What began in 1991 as a visionary partnership between Dr. Anthony 'Tony' Cetrone and Jim Hartz has evolved into one of the most significant medical organizations in the Hampton Roads region. Starting with a shared commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care, the founders established Bayview Medical Center with a mission to prioritize the doctor-patient relationship above all else. This foundational philosophy—that strong personal connections between providers and patients are the cornerstone of effective healthcare—has guided the organization's steady expansion over more than three decades.

Today, Bayview Physicians Group has grown into a rapidly expanding outpatient multi-specialty practice, staffing more than 900 team members and over 300 providers across 75 care sites. The group's extensive network now includes six urgent care centers and affiliations with five major hospitals, offering a comprehensive range of services from primary care to specialized treatments in cardiology, dermatology, and critical care.
