In 2019, ASUS established the Robotics & AI Center as a specialized research and development division focused on advancing autonomous systems, computer vision, and artificial intelligence technologies. The center emerged from ASUS's decades-long expertise in hardware innovation, recognizing the growing importance of intelligent robotics solutions. With a mission to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical real-world applications, the center combines ASUS's world-class engineering capabilities with a startup-like agility to tackle complex technical challenges.

The center's multidisciplinary team works on developing complete robotics solutions, from perception systems powered by deep learning to mission control interfaces that enable seamless human-robot interaction. Their work spans computer vision models optimized for edge deployment, real-time telemetry streaming for robotics applications, and intuitive user interfaces for mission planning. Located in Taiwan with a fully English-speaking environment, the center attracts global talent and offers the unique combination of a research facility's intellectual freedom with a large enterprise's resources.
