Golang Software Engineer

The Go Software Engineer will help develop and support our applications that automate our robotic equipment along with updates to our Oracle EBS system. Most of these applications are middleware platforms that support the refurbishment processing of mobile devices. These systems bring the physical to the digital domain.

This is an onsite position based out of our Irving, TX office, which is just north of DFW airport. No remote or hybrid options are available for this role.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Analyze requirements and design solutions for approved projects and change requests of moderate to high complexity and risk.

• Design/develop system, application, and program code according to business and technical requirements

• Participate in quality assurance and testing to achieve quality objectives

• Provide system support when needed

• Maintain and enhance knowledge of the business operations and strategic imperatives of Assurant

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• 3+ years of experience in Go / Golang

• 2+ years of experience in modern frameworks such as TypeScript / Angular, .NET, C#, etc.

• Experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines / workflows, GitHub, etc is desired

• Experience operating in DevOps and/or Agile project team management.

• Experience with version control systems

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science is desired

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work both independently and on a team.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Strong proficiency in database tools and languages like SQL, Mongo, Postgres

• Strong understanding of best practices in the design of REST-based API’s

Pay Range:

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
