Assembly is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Director, Affiliate Marketing for our growing and innovative Affiliate Marketing team. The Associate Director, Affiliate Marketing leads day-to-day affilaite team for brands/clients and serves as a key client facing liaison. This person will be responsible for leading the client relationship as well as all client deliverables, account strategy, and execution along with managing junior team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute account strategy for owned portfolio of affiliate accounts – act as executive point of contact for the client’s strategic + account questions
  • Develop channel strategy aligned with client goals, objectives, target audiences and business goals.
  • Implement channel strategy, oversee key channel processes and execution work to support ongoing activations, promotional strategies and channel campaigns
  • Manage affiliate partnerships - including new partner recruitment, onboarding, existing partner activations, and resolving any issues/blockers. Identify ways to drive optimization and efficiency for clients via full funnel partnerships.
  • Media management – manage client media budget, inclusive of tactical planning, flighting & execution. Own daily, weekly, monthly, annual spend forecasting for clients.
  • Finance – lead contact for internal and external finance processes for each client within portfolio
  • Reporting – Monitor and analyze reports, give insights and recommend improvements on affiliate activities and on the overall program. Be able to provide strategic insights to inform future strategies while explaining the “why” behind performance
  • Team management – train, coach & develop team members ensuring they are actively contributing to client workload, while growing within their respective roles.
  • Support new business activity, new product/process rollouts and corporate initiatives
  • Reports to regional Affiliate Director

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of in-house e-commerce or agency marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of one or more online marketing channels, such as, Affiliate, Partner, Search, CRM, PR, Social Media, Referral, Blogger and Content marketing
  • Must have knowledge of affiliate networks (Commission Junction or Linkshare, ect.)
  • Familiarity with HTML, a plus
  • Experience with analytics software such as Omniture or Google Analytics, a plus
  • Discipline to work independently and meet established deadlines with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects and frequent reporting
  • Attention to detail, accountability and pride in quality of work
  • Knows how to collaborate with and influence both internal and external partners
  • Ability to travel when needed to conferences and team meetings
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Quick learner, creative thinker
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, positive attitude, drive and collaborative spirit
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
