Director of Sales and Marketing - Remote - DockMaster - Florida

DockMaster is looking to hire a hungry, self-motivated, and driven Director of Sales and Marketing to join our growing team in Florida!

DockMaster is a financial management platform for marine and marina businesses worldwide. Customers utilize DockMaster to manage their service and maintenance jobs, parts and unit inventories, boat sales, storage agreements and overall customer engagement. Our business is celebrating 40 years in the marina management space, and we have a trusted enterprise solution as well as a modern web-based CRM.

We're seeking a hungry and creative strategic leader to join our team as Director of Sales and Marketing. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for establishing and managing budgets, leading and mentoring our growing sales team, managing our go-to-market strategy and exceeding our revenue objectives. We are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and innovate quickly based on KPI's. A growth hacking mindset is encouraged.

Here is a little window into our company: DockMaster was acquired by Valsoft and now operates under the Aspire Software portfolio. Aspire Software, the operational arm of Valsoft Corp, operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in Florida, working in a remote work model!

What your day will look like:

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to exceed revenue and profitability goals
  • Set and exceed sales and marketing goals, analyzing data to track progress and optimize strategies
  • Lead and mentor our global sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Ensure rigor in SalesForce hygiene and forecast accuracy
  • Oversee the entire marketing and sales funnel, including awareness and lead generation strategies all the way through to efficient and timely conversion
  • Manage all marketing initiatives, including brand development, content marketing, digital campaigns, and events. Liase with our centralized marketing agency for execution and reporting
  • Leverage growth hacking techniques to experiment, iterate, and uncover new revenue streams
  • Foster strong relationships with key partners, industry influencers, and potential customers

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within Sales and Marketing, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing high-impact Sales and Marketing strategies that drive significant growth is essential
  • Deep understanding of B2B sales methodologies and SaaS marketing best practices is essential
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals and embrace a growth mindset
  • Strong analytical mind with a passion for data-driven decision-making and growth hacking
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams within a fast-paced SaaS environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing channels and trends (SEO, PPC, Social Media
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into product solutions
  • Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in the US

  • Expertise in marketing automation tools (e.g., SalesForce, Pardot, SEM Rush)
  • Proven success with content marketing strategies and a knack for storytelling
