About the role

AspenView is looking for a Senior Node.js Developer, to join our team remotely. If you're passionate about building robust solutions, working with cutting-edge technologies, and being part of a collaborative environment — this opportunity is for you!

What you will do:

Back-End Development

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js.
• Manage SQL and NoSQL databases and integrate data layers.
• Develop reusable libraries and modules.

Collaboration & Code Quality

• Collaborate with front-end teams and stakeholders to integrate functionalities.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best coding practices.

Architecture & DevOps

• Participate in architectural decisions focused on scalability and performance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

Agile Teamwork

• Engage in Agile ceremonies: planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives.
• Work closely with Product Owners and QA to define requirements.
• Estimate time and break down tasks with a focus on quality deliverables.

Security & Compliance

• Apply best practices in security and data protection.
• Ensure services comply with regulations such as GDPR and OWASP standards.

What you bring:

• A university degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A high level of English is required, along with strong communication skills to interact effectively with both the team and clients.
• Over 5 years of experience in back-end development, with at least 3 years working with Node.js in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar.
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience designing and documenting APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Understanding of containerization with Docker and working with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Analytical thinking, strong communication, teamwork, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

Nice if you have:

• Knowledge of front-end development, microservices, integration with Salesforce, and experience with Oracle databases.
