We’re looking for a Business Systems Administrator (NetSuite)to be part of making this happen.

Position Overview and Objective

The Business Systems Administrator (NetSuite) operates as a system administrator within the Business Applications team, working primarily with Business Applications administrators and managers to deliver secure, consistent, and well governed use of NetSuite across the organization.

The role focuses on administering, maintaining, and enhancing the platform based on approved business needs, ensuring that core financial and operational processes are supported by reliable system configuration, accurate data, and well controlled changes. Working within established standards and governance, the administrator helps ensure NetSuite enables efficiency, compliance, and scalability for supported teams.

The position emphasizes disciplined execution, documentation, and adherence to change and release processes rather than independent solution ownership or direct stakeholder intake. Through ongoing system administration, issue resolution, reporting support, and integration awareness, the administrator contributes to the stability and continuous improvement of NetSuite as a core enterprise platform supporting business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties may include:

System Administration & Configuration

  • Support system configuration, workflows, and day-to-day administration activities for NetSuite within defined standards and guidance.
  • Assist with managing system updates and releases, supporting planned rollout activities and validation steps.
  • Monitor application storage usage and perform data archiving activities as required.
  • Create and maintain standard reports and assist with approved ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Perform introductory scripting and development work under direction.
  • Create and maintain test cases for assigned enhancements and fixes (including regression where applicable), and document outcomes to support release readiness and controlled deployments.
  • Support deployments using established best practices, including following change control, completing required validations, and coordinating release steps through the team’s release cadence and readiness reviews to reduce risk and user impact.

Internal Team Partnership

  • Work primarily with Business Applications administrators and managers to support requirement clarification and execution of approved priorities.
  • Participate in internal working sessions to understand assigned changes, dependencies, and implementation expectations.
  • Partner with team members to support adoption activities following planned change initiatives.

Change Execution & Documentation

  • Execute assigned work in accordance with established change control and release management processes.
  • Reference, update, and maintain documentation related to NetSuite support, enhancements, and operational procedures using approved templates.

Support & Issue Resolution

  • Act as an individual contributor, resolving issues routed through established Business Applications team support and escalation channels.
  • Troubleshoot assigned system, configuration, access, and data issues using documented procedures and guidance.
  • Identify repeat issues and escalate appropriately for backlog consideration.

Integrations & System Awareness

  • Maintain working knowledge of existing NetSuite integrations and their role within the broader application ecosystem.
  • Assess potential downstream impact of assigned changes and escalate integration considerations as needed.
  • Support testing and validation related to planned integration updates.

Access & Governance Support

  • Assist with user access reviews and audits, including validation of roles, permissions, and data visibility.
  • Support remediation of access issues identified through audits or reviews.
  • Assist with maintaining user and role changes in response to approved business and departmental updates.
  • Help install and validate approved managed packages and tools within the environment.

Ability to understand our organization’s business.

Ability to understand our Business Tool ecosystem.

Understanding iPaaS solutions (e.g. Jitterbit, Boomi, etc.) and how your tool stack connects to other internal applications (Adaptive/ Pigment, Avalara, Workday, Navan, Avalara etc.).

The ability to quickly acquire working knowledge of connected business tools is a plus; these tools include but may not be limited to (Adaptive/Pigment, High Radius, Workday, Navan, Avalara, Zip etc.).

Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications for Word, Excel and Outlook.

Collaborative and consultative abilities to work with non-technical end users.

Aptitude for eliciting user requirements and developing both process and technical solutions.

Key Competencies

Working knowledge of SOX compliance and tracking.

Ability to manage individual work efforts as part of the Jira Sprint/Release process.

Working knowledge (preferably in a development environment) of JavaScript/Suite Script, SQL, and HTML.

Exposure to REST/SOAP, APIs, XML/JSON and SSO/TBA

Finance/Accounting exposure and/or background are also preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years of NetSuite administration experience

Obtainment or pursuit of base NetSuite Admin Certification preferred (e.g. Suite Foundation, Administration)

Interest in other preferred NetSuite Certifications include ERP Consultant, Financial User, Suite Analytics, Application Developer, etc.

Willingness to continue growing through experience and/or study and certification.

Minimum expectation of a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent education/experience.

Environment and Physical Demands

Work is primarily sedentary in nature and can be executed sitting or standing positions in an office environment.

Requires ability to utilize technology related to using a keyboard, verbal communication, and work with device screens which require visual acuity.

If located in a company office, it often requires the mobility to physically navigate the space.

In the event of business travel, mobility is sufficient to utilize public and private transport and navigate to essential locations.

May include moving or lifting of 25 pounds or less (e.g. office chair, reams of paper).
