The Regional Sales Manager represents AMETEK LAND products to our partners and customers in the region to maximize sales revenue through all sales-oriented activities including adding value to products, support of sales promotions and marketing activities. You will be responsible to keep regular relations with the key customers and partners in the assigned regions, uncover market opportunities by recruiting and training authorized resellers to sell LAND products and services in their geographic region. You will also champion applications in the Oil & Gas market on a global basis in cooperation with the Industry Manager.

You will work towards achieving mutually agreed business goals and will be measured on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. As such, you will be required to maintain accurate, timely forecasts, Channel Partner and Deal plans and provide a weekly business report.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Secure sustainable growth of the LAND business by taking share from direct competitors.
  • Define the “Go to Market” strategy for each region by market vertical
  • Drive sales forecast accuracy and funnel growth; report the Point-of-Sale data from channel partners every month and analyze data to find ways to continually improve the Go to Market strategy.
  • Manage the organization’s relationships with independent representatives (non-employees), as well as key and strategic accounts.
  • Make partner and customer visits, provide sales presentations for all LAND product lines, assisted by Applications Support to technically qualify the customer’s needs.
  • Direct management of key sales activities at Key Accounts across the region.
  • Use solution selling methodologies to sell the value of AMETEK LAND products to distributors and then customers.
  • Provide valued support and motivation to Channel Partners by promptly replying to their needs, providing guidance and ensuring a strong drive to results.
  • Build upon the success of our existing network of partners; coach and drive continuous improvement as well as analyzing new routes to further develop market and customer penetration.
  • Develops and implements the company’s plan to manage pricing, margins and costs to maximize sales and profitability and facilitates the collection of unpaid or disputed invoices in conjunction with the accounts department.
  • Collates and provides accurate, on time reporting to senior management to include forecasts by country, region, customer and key project.
  • Assist in booth duty at trade shows and conferences when required.
  • Operate within the matrix structure and provide support to the vertical market managers within the region and provide consolidated forecasts to senior management.

Experience, Professional Qualifications and Personal Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Sciences
  • 3 - 5 years of field sales management experience
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
