About the role:

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Programs to lead a strategic rare disease client program within Innomar Strategies, Cencora This role will be responsible for overseeing program operations, managing client relationships, leading teams, supporting financial performance, and driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader from the pharmaceutical, biotech, specialty services, or patient support program environment. You are comfortable managing complex programs, working directly with clients, leading people, and presenting to senior stakeholders. Experience supporting rare disease programs, reimbursement services, risk management programs, post-marketing studies, or patient assistance programs is highly desirable.

This is a leadership role requiring strong business acumen, client management capability, operational discipline, and the ability to develop and motivate teams

What You Will Do:

As the Senior Manager, Programs, you will:

  • Lead and support strategic and tactical planning for a rare disease client program.
  • Provide leadership to Program Managers and team members to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Oversee operational planning, including budget, utilization, profitability, staffing, and performance tracking.
  • Support financial management, including profit and loss responsibility, invoicing, expenses, contracting, purchasing, and vendor oversight.
  • Prepare and review monthly billing reports for client invoicing.
  • Manage strategic client relationships and support account management activities.
  • Partner with senior leadership to enhance existing programs and support business growth.
  • Present operational and performance updates to executive leadership as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, quality improvement, and service enhancement.
  • Support forecasting, staffing, new business development, and client service planning.
  • Assist with proposal development, contracting, pricing, and client presentations.
  • Monitor industry trends and relevant legislative developments impacting pharmaceutical services.
  • Develop performance standards for Managers and measure progress against expectations.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, annual reviews, objective setting, and development planning for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to support program success.
  • Ensure services are delivered accurately, completely, on time, and in alignment with quality expectations.
  • Identify risk areas and support proactive mitigation and continuous improvement plans.
  • Ensure all Adverse Events are reported to the appropriate units or departments.
  • Complete other related duties as required.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in science, healthcare, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • At least5 years of experiencein the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • At least2 years of people management experience.
  • At least1–2 years of client management experience.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical services, specialty programs, or patient support operations.
  • Experience leading teams and managing program performance.
  • Strong business, financial, analytical, and operational management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with rare disease programs or specialty pharmaceutical programs.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement, patient assistance programs, risk management programs, Health Canada requirements, post-marketing studies, or clinical research.
  • Experience with proposal writing, pricing, contracting, and client presentations.
  • Bilingual French/English skills are considered an asset.

Language Requirement

The successful candidate may have daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or cross-functional colleagues. Strong English communication skills are required. French/English bilingualism is an asset.
