Job Details

Reporting to the NeoOptima (NO) Managing Director, the Head of Global Solutions and Insights provides a pivotal role sitting within the NO Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

The Head of Global Solutions and Insights is responsible for leading and managing new business development efforts, inputting to and driving the strategic direction of the business, and optimising and strategically managing the execution of the NO offering set with a focus on the ‘solutions’ portion. These responsibilities are to be conducted with the ultimate aim of helping NO towards its vision of becoming the leading healthcare in-field enablement organisation globally.

In addition, the role will work closely with members of the NO SLT on contracting, operations, HR, finance and team leadership/management.

Responsibilities:

  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Lead, coordinate and manage NO’s new business development efforts including:

    • Consultatively guide prospects from initial contact through to contract signature and internal handover, whilst effectively managing a wide set of interconnected client stakeholders

    • Effectively question and converse with clients to fully understand their needs and objectives, whilst also challenging their thinking, to ensure the development of proposals for innovative and effective solutions that match client needs

    • Lead the proposal development and pitch process including official RFP responses in a timely manner, whilst effectively collaborating with various internal team members to ensure our full capability set is utilised and highlighted

    • Drive lead generation and build the NO pipeline in line with strategy via own contacts or NO/Cencora team members’ and contractors’ contacts

    • Coordinate contracting process and liaise with relevant Cencora functions including legal, data privacy and compliance

  • STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP: Be an integral part of the NO SLT, contributing to effective strategy development, competitive positioning, internal structuring and growth planning, and execution management to drive the business towards being the leading healthcare in-field enablement organisation globally. Also strategically plan and guide the build out of the ‘solutions’ portion of the business in a scalable and profitable manner, whilst keeping oversight on the ‘insights’ portion to best enable a closer and more seamless connection between the two.

  • TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT: Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team who innovate, create, design and deliver cutting-edge solutions that solve challenges for clients, who develop and deliver industry leading thought leadership, and who provide SME input to the deep insights we provide clients. Support this to maximise both performance and engagement, aligned with the company’s values and business objectives.

  • INNOVATION AND SOLUTION-ORIENTATION: Facilitate the company in its drive for innovation within our industry and foster a culture of creativity and collaboration by harnessing emerging technologies and cutting-edge methodologies, to design and deliver holistic solutions. These solutions should not only meet, but exceed our clients' expectations, leading to sustainable growth and setting new standards for excellence in our field.

  • RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Oversee and manage the allocation of resource on new/ongoing projects alongside the rest of the SLT, ensuring that projects are managed effectively and delivered to the highest possible standards whilst best utilising the appropriate expertise sets in-house and across our associate network based on client need, planning for fair capacity management and managing profitability margins.

  • OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: Collaborate closely with the Operations/Accounts Team to monitor project progress ensuring smooth execution, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards, while addressing any challenges that arise.

  • CULTURAL AMBASSADORSHIP: Uphold and propagate the core values of Cencora, ensuring the health and well-being of people, celebrating individuality while fostering collective action, maintaining transparency and honesty, and uniting around the customer.

  • FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP: Demonstrate financial acumen by managing budgets effectively, ensuring financial targets and sales goals are met, and driving profitability within the specialized services offered to the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and MedTech sectors.

Education:

  • A postgraduate degree (eg, Ph.D., M.D.) in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.

  • Degree in a relevant discipline.

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Pharma / Healthcare

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strategic thinker – the ability to develop and implement long-term business strategies that align with the company's mission and market trends.

  • Proven track record in strategic planning and execution in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medtech sectors

  • Proven track record in Business Development specifically within healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medtech sectors

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels including consulting with senior, high-level client stakeholders

  • Leadership/People Management - strong leadership qualities to inspire, manage, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Change Management - skilled in managing and leading through change, with an emphasis on adaptability and resilience.

  • Problem Solving & Innovation - creative thinking and the ability to identify and solve complex problems, encouraging a culture of innovation and solution-oriented approaches.

  • Communication - exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively articulate vision, strategy, and expectations, as well as to listen & respond to feedback.

  • Performance Management - setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to achieve and surpass targets.

  • Personal Effectiveness - high degree of professionalism, ethical conduct, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
