French Linguistic Independent Contractor - Must speak native French and have experience living and hiking in France
What you'll be doing:
- Provide French (fr-FR) style and tone feedback
- Review and translate content to ensure linguistic consistency and quality
- Provide linguistic and cultural feedback on localized products
- Provide manual linguistic QA of French product
- Catch and report linguistic bugs in French on web and mobile platforms
- Maintain and edit French glossary and style guide
- Work closely with internal teams on translation and localization projects
Requirements:
- Native French speaker
- Demonstrated success as a professional translator in the tech and/or marketing space
- Recent experience living in France
- Strong level of English as a source language
- Professional experience writing original content in French
- Experience working with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools
- Expert cross-functional communication skills in English
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to connect with business partners as needed and for biweekly meetings during business hours (Pacific Time)
