The transaction is expected to close following, and subject to, the satisfaction of all applicable closing conditions, including regulatory approval of the transaction. If an employee receives and accepts Arch’s offer of employment, subject to the employee’s satisfaction of the conditions to Arch’s offer, the employee will commence employment with Arch at, and subject to, the close of the transaction. We are looking for a Program Manager for our Entertainment line of business.  This position will be remote.

We also provide coverage for photographers and videographers rounding out comprehensive coverage options for a majority of production accounts.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Regional Head of Entertainment North America, this position will Manage existing and help onboard new entertainment programs while forming and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries and program managers. In addition, would orchestrate corporate governance requirements as respects MGAs and work with various AzC departments through the program due diligence and launch phases. Day-to-day oversight of identified key MGA partners and execution of targeted program premium growth, retention, and profitability across NA Entertainment. Promulgate NA Entertainment program strategy, including Broker Sales Planning, Broker Engagement Model, pipeline development and management, business analysis, remuneration, and governance while working directly with other business partners, specifically NA Entertainment Underwriters and Distribution.Assist with development and implementation of new, upgraded "LoB" products (e.g., forms and filings) and support the underwriting of Special Products Programs.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Product Development
    • Research information on competitive trends, product line trends, producer trends and external environment, including legal, economic, demographic and distribution trends.
    • Recommend new and revised products and programs, underwriting standards and procedures, and provide guidance on pricing.
    • Monitor program results for and develop proposals to maximize profitability, including the review of claims/large losses/trends for assigned programs.
    • Work with Sr Mgmt. and Legal to assist with form development and filings needed to support Entertainment LoB. (e.g., forms development and filings)
  • Business and Relationship Development w/ Program Partners
    • Spearhead annual sales planning with assigned programs, including business development, strategic engagement, retention initiatives, cross-selling opportunities (pipelining), and profitability
    • Develop NA Entertainment market potential via different industry and program.
    • Manage internal and external delivery of Program sales plans via strategic alignment and pipelining/cross-selling activities
    • Plan, manage, and deliver on Program segmentation strategy
  • Act as a Key Influencer & Resource to Underwriters & NA Distribution
    • Drive client-centric and “play-to-win” culture, behavior and sales capabilities both within the NA Entertainment
    • Act as a LoB advocate to escalate new business opportunities, key renewals, and outstanding issues with senior management
    • Consistent and Disciplined approach to Line of Business Engagement, Communication, and Collaboration to ensure alignment with goals and priorities
  • Relationship Management
    • Positively represent AzC externally to the market. Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process, including e.g., MMC, ARC, Claims, Operation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. risk managers)
  • Program Management: Key resources within Entertainment for all program activities. Research develop and implement programs for NA Entertainment coordination and represent organization with external and internal business partners

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • A minimum 7 years’ experience underwriting profitable Entertainment business. Specialized expert understanding of multiple sub-Lob products and portfolio.
  • Demonstrable, established relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within market. Specialized understanding of regional/local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape, including global elements. Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework. Experience working in complex, global matrix organization.
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Law. Completion of a professional insurance qualification.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, intermediary operations, insurance laws and general business operations. Comprehensive knowledge of competition and marketing conditions. Knowledge of AzC and competitor marketing, sales, and UW strategies for assigned LoB. Technical knowledge of the Entertainment Line of Business.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $113,663 to $194,783. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
