As a .NET React Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building high-quality, scalable software applications that shape the future of our technology solutions. Collaborating within a cross-functional Agile team, you will drive continuous improvement in development practices, influence the product roadmap, and deliver impactful features that enhance user experience and business value.
Your expertise in .NET Core/Framework and React, combined with your ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders, will contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge products and the ongoing growth of our dynamic tech team.

What that means day-to-day:

  • Collaborate closely with the development team to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using .NET (Core/Framework) for the backend and React for the frontend.
  • Take a proactive role in improving tools, services, and platforms, continuously enhancing team workflows and Agile practices for more efficient and higher-quality delivery.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, user story creation, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Engage with internal and cross-functional stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, turning them into high-quality software solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following coding standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
  • Work with QA teams to ensure high levels of software quality, and help troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Provide third-line support for existing applications and develop new features that extend product functionality.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and support the transition to modern technologies and platforms, as needed.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong technical expertise in .NET Core / .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET Web API, and SQL Server.
  • Proven experience developing modern, responsive, and performant web applications using React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Entity Framework, and full-stack development principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of prioritising and managing workloads under pressure.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) including App Services, Azure Functions, and related DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, etc.).
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including OWASP and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001/27032.
  • Experience with Windows Services, asynchronous programming (e.g., messaging queues, caching, background jobs).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design.
  • Exposure to unit testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or participating in technical leadership activities.
