In this pivotal role, you will help accelerate the development and refinement of next-generation LC/MS instrumentation, contributing directly to products that make headlines, from environmental monitoring to homeland security.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that brings cutting-edge technologies to market faster and more efficiently than ever before.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, scientists, chemists, and software developers.
Drive research, design, and testing of prototype hardware for advanced LC/MS systems.
Contribute to a high-impact R&D environment focused on superior design quality, reliability, and diagnostics to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Why Join Us
Work on products that have real-world impact and visibility.
Be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Enjoy a rewarding career in a fast-paced, forward-thinking organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design analog PCAs including high voltage (RF and DC) amplifiers or power supplies.
Perform circuit simulations, create schematics and layout PCBs.
Lead design reviews for your design and incorporate feedback from peers.
Assist the lead architecture electrical engineer in incorporating your design into complete instruments, while ensuring your design is fully compatible for system control and on-board diagnostics.
Perform verification testing on initial prototypes and complete systems to demonstrate instrument performance and regulatory compliance until successful transition to manufacturing.
Create documentation (e.g. block diagrams, theory of operations, simulation, and test results) at each phase of product development.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree, Masters Degree, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Electrical engineer with 4+ years of relevant experience designing precision analog circuits that include high voltage (RF & DC) amplifiers or power supplies. PhD candidates graduating in 2025 with a research focus in high voltage (RF & DC) are also encouraged to apply.
The ability to work on a design from early investigation to prototype build/verification until the design is successfully transferred to manufacturing.
Excellent test, measurement, and documentation skills with significant attention to detail and ability to solve multidisciplinary system level problems.
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in design for test and manufacturing to develop a robust design for high production volume.
The ability to work both independently and in an interdisciplinary, cross-functional environment with marketing, manufacturing, etc.
Desired Skills
Experience using Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and PSPICE (or other circuit simulator).
Some knowledge of digital circuits to integrate control and diagnostics for the analog circuit blocks.
