About the Role

As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. Reporting to the Global Manufacturing Office Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring regional & global manufacturing strategies are aligned with organization-wide quality objectives, customer requirements, and applicable quality-related legislation. Your work within the Global Manager, Manufacturing Quality Ambassador role will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / Job Functions

Your performance will be measured against several critical indicators, including:

  • Development and standardization of global company working practices, ensuring business, customer and applicable quality legislation requirements are met.
  • Facilitation of impactful activities to reset Quality culture to luxury OEM levels.
  • Implementation of global practices and verification of effective roll out and application
  • Collaboration with other global functions to ensure a consistent approach regionally with applicable international standards. Develop and manage global audit process to support this process.
  • Championing, developing, and supporting the delivery of quality-focused training essential for business plan achievement.
  • Evaluate and compare manufacturing management systems and their processes, incorporating identified best practices into our corporate standards.
  • Monitoring global plant performance, initiating continuous improvement, and supporting developments as appropriate
  • As required, undertake additional responsibilities that are pertinent to the role and align with the duties outlined above.

Your Team

You will be reporting directly to the Global Manufacturing Office Sr. Manager. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a group of dedicated professionals, each contributing their unique skills and expertise to our collective success. Currently, the team consists of 14 talented individuals, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead, mentor, and collaborate with your colleagues to drive impactful results.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead and execute key strategic initiatives within the Manufacturing Quality Ambassador role, contributing to the overall success of our mission to be a leader in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future.
  • Collaborate on Product Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams in the design and development of cutting-edge EV battery technology, ensuring alignment with industry standards and continuous innovation.
  • Drive Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the Manufacturing Quality Ambassador role, contributing to our goal of producing innovative and competitive products.
  • Contribute to Global Impact: Play a crucial role in our global expansion by [mention specific contributions, e.g., establishing market presence, supporting international projects], ensuring our position as a global leader in battery technology.
  • Interface with Stakeholders: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, address concerns, and ensure seamless collaboration, fostering strong relationships that contribute to the success of our initiatives.

What You Need

  • Proven Experience & Educational Background: Minimum of five years of demonstrated success in manufacturing quality, showcasing a track record of achieving key objectives and driving impactful results. Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent international qualifications. Strong project coordination and judgment skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and other PC applications, ensuring the ability to navigate and contribute effectively to our dynamic work environment. Must be capable of compiling data into PowerPoint presentations for various levels of key stakeholders in the organization.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of key initiatives, demonstrating an innovative mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Global Perspective: Experience or willingness to work in a global context, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with operating in diverse international markets.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs and priorities. Schedule flexibility – meetings with each region are required. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Leadership Skills: Previous experience or potential for leadership roles, showcasing the ability to inspire and lead teams towards common goals, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.

What is "Nice to Have"?

  • Technical Knowledge: Lead auditor qualification in related discipline (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and or VDA 6.3) Scale up to obtain a general understanding of Battery process from Electrode through Pack. Ability to develop and establish efficiency through process improvements and automation.
  • Advanced Certifications: Possession of advanced certifications in related disciplines, while not mandatory, would be a strong asset, showcasing a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous, as it aligns with our global operations and enhances communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Cross-Cultural Experience: Previous experience working in cross-cultural environments, or a demonstrated understanding of cultural nuances would be beneficial, given our global presence and diverse team.
