The story of Aerobotics begins with a deep-rooted connection to the land. Co-founder James Paterson grew up on a citrus farm outside Cape Town, South Africa, where he witnessed firsthand the daily challenges and uncertainties that fruit growers face. He saw how difficult it was to monitor vast orchards and how a lack of precise data could impact the harvest. Driven by a desire to solve these age-old problems with modern technology, James teamed up with Benji Meltzer, a fellow visionary with a shared passion for innovation.

In 2014, the duo set out to bridge the gap between traditional farming and advanced technology. What started as an experiment with drones in a garage quickly evolved into a sophisticated platform capable of analyzing millions of trees. By combining aerial imagery from drones and satellites with cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, they created a system that could 'see' what the naked eye often missed. Today, Aerobotics empowers growers around the world to measure, manage, and protect their yields, turning the unpredictable nature of farming into a more precise and profitable science.
