The candidate will lead the architecture and solve difficult technical problems, mentor and raise the technical aptitude of the entire team. They will work cooperatively with other teams to ensure the right overall architecture and best solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, building, deploying, operating, scaling, and evolving distributed systems and high-volume transaction applications in a 24/7 environment.
- 6+ years of experience in building cloud based Point of Sale systems including hardware peripheral integration.
- 8+ years of experience in Java (with Spring Boot or similar frameworks), Postgres, SQL or equivalent DB technologies.
- 5+ years of experience on Cloud Native technologies on AWS, GCP or Azure.
- 5+ years of experience working as a full stack developer owning implementation, testing, building CICD pipelines, delivery and monitoring.
- Experience in building other Store applications like replenishment, store inventory management, RFID integration, etc.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or customers.
- 2+ experience in GCP and/or Kubernetes specific technologies.
- Experience leading or contributing to multiple simultaneous product development efforts and initiatives.
- Experience implementing and upgrading POS solutions like JumpMind, XStore.
- Strong architecture and design skills with a track record of architecting and delivering distributed, cloud-based microservices, event-driven architectures and RESTful API’s.
