Expectations of the role

As a Technical Product Manager for our Platform (Foundations) Product Team, you will be responsible for owning and enhancing platform capabilities, features, and services that are consumed by both external users and internal teams. This role requires a deep technical background, strong business acumen, and the ability to make data-driven decisions. You will ensure that our platform scales effectively, manage costs, and prioritize initiatives to align with our strategic goals. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for platform services, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and deliver robust platform features and enhancements.
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring the highest impact features are delivered on time and within scope.
• Develop detailed product requirements and specifications, and work with development teams to ensure clear understanding and successful execution.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.
• Monitor and analyze platform performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary point of contact for platform-related inquiries, providing expert guidance and support to internal teams and external customers.
• Ensure platform security, scalability, and performance through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
• Drive product adoption and engagement through effective communication, training, and support initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to ensure our platform remains innovative and competitive.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern web technologies.
• Proven experience in product management, preferably within a platform or PaaS environment. Ability to manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex data and make informed product decisions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate product concepts and strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Deep empathy for users and a strong commitment to user-centric design.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to platform services.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, APIs, microservices, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with user authentication, access control, entitlement provisioning, and billing systems.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a technical product management role. Experience with platform products is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of delivering successful platform solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Certifications in product management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing) are a plus.
• Proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, or similar. Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.
• Experience in relevant industries such as cloud computing, enterprise software, or PaaS platforms.
