Mission of Role/Position Summary:

The Creative Intern is responsible for staying abreast of design trends and social media best practices, ensuring that our brand remains relevant and competitive in a dynamic digital landscape.

This dual graphics/communications role is perfect for a college student or recent grad who is a “communicative creative”! This role involves the creation of engaging, innovative, and visually appealing graphics and multimedia content that resonates with our internal and external stakeholders, enhances industry presence, and drives engagement. You will work closely with our marketing and communications team to elevate ACDC’s brand identity (with a fresh new rebrand!) through storytelling and impactful visuals in marketing materials, various social media platforms, website content, proposal graphics, and internal communications.

Requirements

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design: Lend your talents to the day-to-day marketing machinery, from designing a wide variety of marketing materials to keeping our collateral libraries organized and up to date.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent and promote ACDC’s values by embodying our corporate identity through internal and external deliverables.
  • Innovative Content Creation: Producing engaging written, graphic, and/or video content that resonates with our audience across various platforms. Contribute creatively to the conception and rollout of eye-catching social media campaigns.
  • Social Media Vigilance: Keep a keen eye on ACDC's social media platforms, spotting and seizing opportunities for meaningful engagement.
  • Trend Research: Dive into the latest trends in social media and marketing, bringing fresh insights to fuel our team's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Advocacy Planning: Collaborate in crafting a robust social media advocacy blueprint, amplifying our brand's voice and reach.
  • Strategy Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our MarCom team to brainstorm and implement cutting-edge digital growth strategies.
  • Project Engagement: Tackle other diverse projects and tasks that bolster our overarching marketing and communication strategies.

  • Possesses a flair for creative expression, both in storytelling and visually/graphically.
  • Is digitally savvy, with a finger on the pulse of the latest social media and marketing trends.
  • Ability to clearly convey data and storylines through data visualization and infographics.
  • Exhibits a strong desire to learn and contribute to a team-focused environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive company and operational information.
  • Multi-tasking pro.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a multitude of teams.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt quickly to changes in roles and ongoing projects.
  • Is genuinely passionate about ACDC's mission and eager to amplify our message.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Experience/Education Required:

  • Working knowledge of Canva
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
  • 6 months of experience managing social media platforms through publishing tools such as Hootsuite, HubSpot, etc. (combination of multiple internships/experiences counts)

Experience/Education Preferred:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Graphic Design, Marketing, Media Studies, Digital Media, Advertising, Public Relations program.
  • 1 yr. of Canva
  • 1 yr. Adobe Creative Suites experience (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
  • 1 yr. of experience managing social media platforms through publishing tools such as Hootsuite, HubSpot, etc.
  • Familiar with deciphering and leveraging SEO/social analytics to enhance visibility and performance.
  • Experience with multimedia projects involving video or animation.
  • Experience with / understanding of SEO

Expected Hours of Work:

Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required.

Travel Requirements:

  • None.

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
  • Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods of time as needed
  • Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
