What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that challenges my technical skills and offers opportunities for growth in a collaborative environment.

As a Senior Backend Developer with extensive experience in backend development, I have honed my skills in various programming languages, primarily GoLang, while also working with Laravel and Node.js. My recent role at Addis Pay involved designing secure and user-friendly checkout pages, managing financial transactions, and developing real-time communication applications using web sockets. I take pride in my ability to create secure REST APIs and optimize backend service performance, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

In addition to my technical expertise, I have a strong background in academia, serving as a Computer Science Lecturer at Wollo University since 2017. This role has allowed me to engage with students, provide academic and career advising, and conduct research in computer science. My educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science, where I focused on machine learning and computer vision, culminating in a thesis on Amharic visual speech recognition.
