Zafer Cagatay Umut

I’m a full-stack software engineer focused on building and shipping production products end-to-end. My main stack includes React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL and Docker, with additional experience in C#/.NET, React Native and cloud deployments.

One of my main projects is Karta, a production B2B finance and CRM SaaS that I took over from an existing codebase and expanded into a complete platform. It includes cash-flow management, receivables, sales pipelines, contracts, multi-company RBAC, reporting and data imports, alongside a complex AI system that analyzes finance and CRM data to provide business insights, warnings and opportunities, scenario analysis, scoring and natural-language Q&A.

I also built Pavlov, a production React Native pet-care application backed by Node.js and PostgreSQL, including offline synchronization, notifications, subscriptions and AI features.

I’m comfortable working across frontend, backend, databases and infrastructure, taking ownership of existing codebases or building products from scratch. I regularly use AI development tools, but I have a strong software engineering foundation and use them to accelerate implementation, debugging and iteration rather than as a replacement for understanding the code.

I’m particularly interested in product engineering, full-stack SaaS and AI-focused roles where I can work closely with a small team, take ownership of features and contribute across the product rather than being limited to one layer of the stack.
