Zac Smoak

I’m a physical education and health educator with over 450 days of certified teaching experience across elementary and secondary levels. I create standards-based lesson plans, use valid and reliable assessments to measure growth in all three learning domains, and build relationships that improve behavior and student engagement. I’ve taught using both the sport education model and traditional teaching, and I incorporate technology to make learning more meaningful and fun.

Alongside teaching, I bring hands-on program and operations experience in youth sports and retail leadership. As an assistant coordinator at the YMCA, I set up and tear down fields and equipment, coordinate activities for ages four to twelve, and shadow the Sports Director to learn Core and Y-Gametime operational functions. As a retail floor leader, I use day-to-day metrics to plan shifts, train associates on product knowledge and operations, and lead opening/closing, register, and safe cash handling—always balancing performance with a quality customer and team experience.
