Youngjun Lee
@youngjunlee
I’m a PhD candidate specializing in VR exercise interventions for mental health.
What I'm looking for
I am a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Kinesiology at Michigan State University studying immersive virtual reality exercise interventions and their effects on depressive symptoms and heart rate variability in young adults with autism spectrum disorder.
I hold an M.S. and B.Ed. from Korea University and have led mixed-method and population-level analyses using national datasets (e.g., NHANES, KNHANES) alongside systematic and scoping reviews aligned with PRISMA guidelines.
I serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and have instructed a broad set of undergraduate kinesiology courses while mentoring numerous undergraduates in research and journal clubs; my work has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications and funded fellowships.
I bring proficiency in R and SPSS, physiological and blood biomarker assessment, Meta Quest–based VR intervention design, and large-scale data analysis, and I seek collaborative academic or research roles that translate technology-based physical activity into measurable mental health impact.
