Yevgen Shapovalov

Senior WordPress Full-Stack Developer with 14+ years of commercial experience building and maintaining custom websites for international clients. I develop custom themes, ACF Pro content structures, Gutenberg blocks, PHP functionality and REST API integrations.

I take over existing and legacy projects, resolve PHP/JavaScript errors and plugin/theme conflicts, refactor code, improve performance and Core Web Vitals, remove malware, strengthen security, handle migrations and improve technical SEO. I use ChatGPT Codex and Claude Code for AI-assisted development.

Since January 2026, I have worked independently with clients in Italy and Germany. At SHWOP, I develop marketplace features, product publication forms and user interfaces, fix authentication and mobile issues, and maintain integrations, analytics, security and performance. Technical SEO work included self-referencing canonicals on 152 URLs, 301 redirects for 43 outdated URLs and noindex on 98 technical URLs.

For removee.de, I improved PageSpeed performance, Yoast SEO configuration, canonicals, metadata, schema markup, security and maintainability. For Axissoft, I independently built and delivered three responsive one-page business websites.

Previous roles: IT Craft (Oct 2024–Jan 2026), Freelance (Jun–Oct 2024), TechSors (Apr 2014–Jun 2024), and Dzvinko (Jan 2012–Mar 2014).

Looking for remote freelance, contract or part-time WordPress development and long-term maintenance/support. I work independently, communicate directly with clients and teams, and provide realistic estimates.
