What I'm looking for

I seek a role that allows me to support individuals in their mental health journey, fostering a collaborative and compassionate environment.

I am currently pursuing my Master's in Mental Health and Wellness at Grand Canyon University, with an expected graduation in November 2024. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, where I graduated with honors in May 2023. My education has provided me with a solid foundation in psychological principles and therapeutic techniques.

In my professional experience, I served as an outpatient forensic psychotherapist at Commonwealth Clinical Group, where I managed a caseload of 40-45 clients, including sex offenders and domestic violence cases. I developed comprehensive treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and specialized interventions for various mental health issues. My role required close collaboration with state and county parole and probation departments, ensuring that my clients received the necessary support and resources.

Additionally, I worked as a drug and alcohol counselor assistant at the Spanish American Civic Association, where I facilitated individual and group therapy sessions. My commitment to mental health extends beyond therapy; I am fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to connect with a diverse range of clients and provide culturally competent care.
