Yash Mohan

I’m an IIT Guwahati BTech student (Chemical Science and Technology) and an early-stage software builder focused on applying machine learning to real problems. I like turning research-grade ideas into working prototypes that people can actually use.

In Smart India Hackathon 2024, I helped create a Real-Time Gender Ratio Monitoring solution for women’s safety. I used fine-tuned deep learning models such as YOLOv8 and ResNet50, integrated them with Keras, and delivered a Flask-based API so a mobile app could communicate with the AI model. We also built the app using the Flutter framework and Dart.

For KRITI 2025, I developed an AI-powered Website Generator that produces complete websites end-to-end. I built a generative AI system with a React-based real-time preview and DOM synchronization, plus a visual editor that connects seamlessly to backend logic—so users can create fully functional websites without writing code.

Beyond projects, I contribute through student leadership and technical community work as Associate General Secretary for CHESTA IIT Guwahati and as a PR/Media & Branding executive at IIT Guwahati events. I’m driven by hands-on learning, clear communication, and building with impact—backed by achievements like a Gold Medal in Product Development (Kriti 2025).
