Yaseen Islam

I’m a Machine Learning Engineer and 4th-year Computer Engineering student shaped by hands-on work that takes models from mathematical foundations to real deployment. I build recommendation, classification, and dimensionality-reduction systems from scratch using NumPy and PyTorch.

I specialize in collaborative filtering, ensemble learning, and feature engineering, and I focus on practical delivery through REST APIs and MLOps tools. I’ve implemented matrix factorization, Decision Trees/Random Forests, and PCA/autoencoders—then wrapped production-ready inference pipelines for maintainability.

Beyond modeling, I lead and collaborate: I guided a national robotics navigation team to a 2nd-place finish in Egypt’s UGVC competition. I care about turning uncertainty into decisions, communicating clearly with teams, and building systems that work end-to-end.
