I co-founded “Animal Dialogue,” a social media account promoting conservation in China, and wrote and submitted over 80 articles in Chinese that received more than 210,000 views. My writing covers wildlife conservation and wildlife diseases, including articles submitted to the State Forestry Administration of China webpage.
With the Snow Leopard Programme in Chengdu, I coordinated an experience exchange conference on snow leopard and giant panda conservation. I also contributed to snow leopard interactive infographics and a data management and analysis system with Tencent, and coordinated surveys in Qilian Mountain National Park and Sichuan Province.
In the Eastern Tianshan Mountains, I coordinated a snow leopard dietary study using DNA analysis of scat and offered wildlife monitoring and disease surveillance training to forestry rangers and local NGOs. I also contributed to the disease section of “Status of Snow Leopard Survey and Conservation, China 2018.”
My research has examined wildlife conservation communication, human interactions with wild cats in China, and the ecological impact of free-ranging dogs on snow leopards. I hold a PhD in Science Communication from the University of Otago and an MS in Conservation Medicine from Tufts University.
